The Stone Age workshop and collection in Boniswil is the only Stone Age workshop in Switzerland with a wealth of experience in experimental Neolithic prehistory. During a visit you will learn, for example, how tools were made from bones in the past or how a fire was lit with sparks and tinder sponge. After this excursion into the distant past, the route continues steeply to Leutwil. From Leutwil, you walk across snow-covered meadows and through romantic forests. Up to the Hochwacht, you constantly gain altitude. At 787 meters, the Homberg is not the highest mountain in Aargau, but it is one of the most famous. Before you hike back down into the valley to Beinwil, climb the Homberg tower to marvel at the wintry views over the lakes, the surrounding hills and the Alpine chain.
