Altdorfer Tellsweg

Walk along the Tellsweg from the station to the center of Altdorf. You will experience the legend of the Swiss freedom hero Wilhelm Tell, its origin and impact. And you will get to know a lively village where history and the present can be easily connected. The Tellsweg leads from the station to the village center of Altdorf. The one and a half kilometer long and flat route can be done in about half an hour at a quick pace. But who wants to rush when there is an exciting story to experience – and plenty of lovely spots to linger.

Note

Hikers on the Tellsweg need an alert mind and a good dose of curiosity. A smartphone with internet access is an advantage. But it is also possible without one. After all, the main character of the story did not have one either.
