From Stöckalp, this varied mountain hike leads through an impressive mountain landscape, past four mountain lakes, all the way to Engelberg. Right from the start, a beautiful view of the surrounding peaks—such as Hochstollen, Glogghuis, and Titlis—opens up.
The route first heads to Melchsee and then on to Tannensee. Via Tannalp, it follows alpine trails to Engstlenalp in the canton of Bern. The nature reserve delights visitors with idyllic alpine meadows, diverse alpine flora, and a stunning mountain backdrop. The trail then ascends to the Jochpass, where, on a clear day, a magnificent view of the Titlis and the Bernese Alps unfolds.
From the Jochpass, the route descends—at times steeply—to Trübsee and continues past the Wäschplattenhütte and Unter Trübsee. Via gravel paths and short stretches through the forest, you’ll finally reach Engelberg. This traditional mountain village captivates visitors with its Benedictine monastery and historic houses from the Belle Époque.
