Since the 17th century, pilgrims and the first naturalists have been drawn to the Rigi by this path. From the Kräbel stop, the trail leads through romantic wild forest areas - where, according to legend, the devil once dwelled - to the Dächli. There, about 400 years ago, the legendary Dächli landlady welcomed the very first Rigi visitors in her inn. The traditional Rigi alp farms Schwändi and Trib offer insights into the craft of mountain agriculture and sell natural products. The highlight of this route is the striking Rotstock summit, where every summit climber is rewarded with a fantastic panoramic view for their effort.
