A mountain hike from the Storegg Pass through alpine meadows, forests, and stunning mountain scenery to Melchsee-Frutt.

From the Storegg Pass, this varied mountain hike winds through the stunning landscape between Nidwalden and Obwalden all the way to Melchsee-Frutt. Passing alpine huts, crossing alpine meadows, and winding through small forests, the route offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains at every turn.

The trail leads over the Denalp, through the idyllic Ronenwald, and on to Alp Stock and Sattelegg. Passing the Fomatt Chapel, the hike reaches its lowest point before ascending via the Wolfisalpbach stream and Alp Unterboden to the picturesque Bettenalp.

From Bettenalp onward, the route alternates between hiking trails and sections of road. Through the rugged, rugged Schratten region, the trail finally leads to Melchsee-Frutt. This idyllic high valley delights visitors in summer with blooming meadows and deep-blue mountain lakes, and is a popular ski resort in winter.
