The circular route of cycle routes 99 and 38 starts from the station in Willisau heading towards Ostergau. This route mainly runs along asphalt roads and occasionally on gravel roads past beautiful, typically regional farms. There is a pleasant up and down until reaching Ruswil. Along the way, you also pass by the Soppisee.
In Ruswil, we are at the southernmost point of the route. From now on, we are on the return journey to Willisau. For the return journey, we follow cycle routes 99 and 73. From Buttisholz, we follow only route 73. This route also leads on asphalt and gravel roads via Grosswangen to Ettiswil. Along the way, we pass the Nature Study Area Buchwald and on the right you can see the Wyher Water Castle.
Upon arrival in Ettiswil, we turn onto route 94 and follow it via Alberswil to the Agrovision Burgrain experience farm. In the farm shop, we find delicious specialties from the region.
After our shopping, we make our way on the last short stage to Willisau. For this, we follow route 38 along the Wigger until we arrive back at Willisau station.
