The cultural and social heart of Central Switzerland is located on the shores of Lake Lucerne.
The city of Lucerne is famed for attractions that include the Chapel Bridge, the beautiful facades of the old town district, narrow passages, lively squares, Switzerland’s oldest surviving city wall and the Lion Monument. Yet here too, there are less well known delights to discover: those handful of visitors who inadvertently stray into the Neustadt or Bruchquartier districts will find local crafts on sale alongside trendy bars and restaurants.
