Touring-Route 4: Visible History

A visit to Landenberg Castle above Sarnen should not be missed as a start or endpoint of this route. In Lucerne, it is worth making a detour to the Musegg Wall with its nine towers, which still shape the cityscape as part of the old city fortifications. The journey continues to the charming Lake Sempach and along Lake Hallwil to Hallwyl Castle, one of the most beautiful water castles in Switzerland. Equally spectacular is Lenzburg Castle, which towers high above the old town.
In addition to the historic buildings, this route also impresses with scenic attractions, which become especially evident again along Lake Zug and on the way back to Sarnen.
