The hike leads over the wooden footbridge newly built in 2001 from Rapperswil to Hurden and over the Etzel Pass to Einsiedeln. On the way to the most important pilgrimage center in Switzerland, the magnificent view of Lake Zurich is particularly impressive.

- Getting there
- From Zurich take the A3 motorway (Zurich-Chur) exit 40 at Pfäffikon. Then over the Seedamm to Rapperswil.
- From Lucerne take the motorway towards Zug to Sihlbrugg. From there continue via Hirzel onto the A3 motorway (Zurich-Chur). Take exit 40 at Pfäffikon. Then over the Seedamm to Rapperswil.
